Peking 2 Paris Results

Congratulations to all the competitors in the 2010 Peking to Paris rally.  We are pleased to announce that out of 100 competitors, the three Autosportif prepared Chevrolets finished within the top 25 in the pre 1941 category. In fact we would like to congratulate Steve Hyde and Janet Lyne for successfully taking 1st place with an overall time 253hrs 6mins 13secs.
Clive Dunster and Cecilia Agger who after an unfortunate double ignition coil failure on day 3 and a puncture on day 4 managed to climb from 46th position to a very respectable 15th place with an overall time of 270hrs 6mins 51secs.  And finally in 24th place with an overall time of 281hrs 48mins 56secs, Bill & Biddy Bolsover with their 1939 “Gentlemen’s” Chevy Coupe.
Autosportif were also happy to accept the challenge to rebuild Tim Wilkinson’s Buick engine which powered his 1929 25x Phaeton to a very respectable 35th place with an overall time of 335hrs 54mins 17secs.
